Arsenal Confirmed Lineup vs Wolves: Partey, Xhaka back; Tomiyasu misses out

Mikel Arteta has named his preferred Arsenal lineup to face Wolves, but Takehiro Tomiyasu misses out, with Cedric Soares starting at right-back.

Arsenal have named a very strong starting lineup as they get set to take on Wolves in a crucial Premier League encounter which could have repercussions in the top-four race.

Takehiro Tomiyasu, who was facing a race against tie to be fit, is left out of the squad, with Cedric Soares taking his spot at right-back. Ben White and Gabriel resume their central defensive partnership with Kieran Tierney firmly settled in at left-back.

Granit Xhaka and Thomas Partey start as Mikel Arteta’s preferred midfield pairing after returning from their suspensions. Albert Sambi Lokonga is an option from the bench, while Mohamed Elneny misses out following his AFCON return, although he remains among the substitutes.

Gabriel Martinelli starts on the left-hand side of the attack, with Martin Odegaard placed behind striker and captain Alexandre Lacazette. Bukayo Saka is preferred to Nicolas Pepe on the right side, with the Ivorian an option from the bench.
