Liverpool Confirmed Lineup vs RB Leipzig: Kabak & Henderson continue at centre-back; Thiago returns

Trabzonspor eyeing late move for Thiago Alcantara.

Ozan Kabak makes his UEFA Champions League debut for Liverpool FC as they lock horns with Bundesliga giants RB Leipzig this evening.

Jurgen Klopp has made one change to the side that started in the defeat to Leicester City on the weekend, for the upcoming contest against RB Leipzig this evening.

James Milner had picked up a little knock in the last game, becoming the latest LFC first-team star to be dealt with an injury. He was a doubt heading into this game and has been left out of the squad, with Thiago Alcantara coming in as his replacement.

The former Bayern Munich man will be accompanied by Curtis Jones and Georginio Wijnaldum in a midfield unit that misses Jordan Henderson.

The Liverpool captain will continue to feature as a central defender, in the absence of players like Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez, Fabinho and new signing Ben Davies, though the latter has been included on the bench despite his fitness issues.

Speaking of newcomers, Henderson is set to be partnered by Ozan Kabak at the heart of the four-man backline, with Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andrew Robertson operating as full-backs. Alisson starts in goal, looking to make amends following disappointing performances against Leicester City and Manchester City recently.

Meanwhile, in the attacking unit, Klopp has persisted with the familiar trio of Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane, although the German can call upon the likes of Xherdan Shaqiri and Divock Origi if required.

Liverpool Starting Lineup: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Kabak, Henderson, Robertson; Thiago, Wijnaldum, Jones; Salah, Firmino, Mane
