Jurgen Klopp makes wholesale changes to the side that faced Chelsea on the weekend with only Virgil van Dijk retaining his spot in the team.
As expected, Jurgen Klopp has made multiple changes to the team that faced off against Chelsea on the weekend, for the game tonight against Lincoln City, with only one player retaining his place from that starting XI – Virgil van Dijk.
The Dutchman will be given the responsibilities of the captain’s armband, starting alongside Rhys Williams, who has been part of the academy for nearly a decade now, and gets his debut tonight. They will be screening veteran goalkeeper Adrian.
Flanking this duo, new singing Kostas Tsimikas also gets his debut and he will be providing width from left back, while Neco Williams does the same from the right side of the pitch.

The midfield features a double pivot, where 24-year-old Marko Grujic and teenager Curtis Jones take to the pitch. They will be supplemented by Takumi Minamino ahead of them in the no. 10 role.
Diogo Jota is expected to make his debut for the Reds, as well, but does not feature in the starting XI. The nod in his position has been given to English prodigy Harvey Elliot, who has made his mark multiple times in this competition for Liverpool.
On the opposite side, Xherdan Shqiri makes his first competitive start for Liverpool since December 2019, playing all 90 minutes against Everton. He will be aided by Divock Origi who will lead the frontline.
