Arsene Wenger has named a starting eleven without the duo of Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil as they travel to Vicarage Road to face Watford.

Arsenal welcome their captain Per Mertesacker back into the lineup. The German makes his first Premier League start in 532 days and would be hoping to mark it with a clean sheet and a win against Watford. The headline though, is Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil, both of whom are missing from the lineup.

Ozil finds himself on the bench while Alexis Sanchez is missing altogether, mainly due to his recent disappointment at international level with Chile failing to qualify for the World Cup.
