Arsenal’s Jack Wilshere has been on the periphery of being a first-team regular at the club for the last few seasons, but has failed to make the cut due to a number of injury concerns. The Englishman has been loaned out to Bournemouth this season where his performances have shown a marked improvement.
Recently, the 24-year-old was a part of BT Sport’s Goals Recreated initiative. Wilshere had to attempt to recreate former Manchester United winger Ryan Giggs’ outrageous volley goal against Fulham in 2007.
Giggs scored the all important equaliser in the game after which Cristiano Ronaldo scored a dramatic winner to win the game 2-1 for the Red Devils.
Looking at the goal from the Welshman, Wilshere said: “Ah that’s different class, I’m not sure I’ve got that.” However, his team-mate, friend and former Arsenal striker Benik Afobe gave Wilshere the confidence he needed to execute the finish.
