Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain was the cream of the crop as he inspired Arsenal to a 2-0 victory over Championship side Reading. The England international scored both of his side’s goals on the day and single handedly took the attack to the opposition.

His first one was an exceptional individual goal as he saw off challenges from two opposition defenders to slot the ball into the far corner, leaving the Reading keeper with no chances to get his hands on the ball.

For his second, he had defender Rob Holding to thank who set the ball up perfectly for Olivier Giroud who then played the final pass to Chamberlain. The 23-year-old fired home a venomous strike that took a slight deflection before finding its way into the back of the net.
