Both Liverpool and Tottenham have named several of their young academy products in the starting XI, as they face off in the round of 16 of the League Cup.
The Reds have named three young starlets in their starting lineup. Kevin Stewart, Trent Alexander-Arnold, both defenders, and midfielder Ovie Ejaria have been handed club debuts. Summer signing Marko Grujic and out of favour left-back Alberto Moreno also start the game.

Spurs have gone one better, and are fielding four fresh faces. The midfield trio of Joshua Onomah, Tom Carroll and Harry Winks along with promising young defender Cameron Carter-Vickers start against Liverpool.
Summer arrival from Marseille Georges-Kevin N’koudou has also been handed his second start for Tottenham.
