The world’s most expensive footballer lived up to the tagline for his national side as Les Blues defeated Italy 3-1 in their World Cup qualifier.

23-year-old central midfielder Paul Pogba was at his imperious best for France in their World Cup qualifier against the Azzurri. He bagged two assists, first helping his Manchester United teammate Anthony Martial score the opener. Graziano Pelle scored for Italy to make it 1-1 after Martial’s goal, but then Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud made it 2-1 before Pogba finished proceedings with an assist for Layvin Kurzawa.
