Arsene Wenger accuses media of ignoring Rob Holding’s display because ‘he didn’t cost £55m’ [Video]

In his post-match press conference on Saturday, Arsene Wenger accused the media of ignoring Rob Holding’s display against Leicester City because he did not cost the club big money.

The Arsenal manager was faced with questions regarding the possibility of signing another central defender — especially Valencia’s Shkodran Mustafi — after his side played out a 0-0 draw against the defending Premier League champions Leicester on Saturday.

While Wenger conceded that they are interested in Mustafi, the French manager seemed particularly annoyed with the media for concentrating more on the high-profile and big money signings instead of highlighting youngster Rob Holding’s performances, who was brought to Arsenal from Bolton this season for a paltry fee of £2.5m.
