Ramsey ruled out for a month, Mustafi deal hits roadblock; Arsenal fans rue injury crisis [Best Tweets]

Arsenal are off to a poor start to the new season on the pitch, losing 3-4 to Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium in their opening game. Things are even worse off the pitch though, as key midfielder Aaron Ramsey adds to the club’s injury woes and the deal for Valencia centre-back Shkodran Mustafi seems to be off.

25-year-old Wales midfielder Aaron Ramsey had a great summer with the national team at the European Championships. Gooners were expecting that the in-form Welshman would play a key role for them this season. However, the season has started on the worst possible note for Ramsey, as he been ruled out for a month because of a hamstring injury suffered during the game against Liverpool.

The injury woes continue to pile up at Arsenal, and they have been further compounded by their lack of activity in the transfer market. The club had been strongly linked with a move for German defender Shkodran Mustafi, who currently plays for La Liga club Valencia.

However, recent reports claim the deal has hit a roadblock, with the Gunners unwilling to meet Los Che’s transfer fee demands for the 24-year-old centre-half.
