Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has defended the world record transfer fee involved in bringing Paul Pogba back to Old Trafford from Juventus.

Jose Mourinho was in a joyous mood as he spoke to the reporters after his maiden trophy as a Manchester United manager in his first official game in charge of the club.

The Portuguese confirmed the capture of Paul Pogba from Juventus and was asked about the transfer fee involved in the deal, which is reported to be a world-record £89m. Here is Mourinho’s response:

Only time will tell whether Paul Pogba does justice to the transfer fee through his performances at Manchester United, but the manager seems happy to have completed the signing of the Juventus superstar as he aims for the Premier League title in his debut season with the Red Devils.
