New video of France keeper Hugo Lloris adds ‘what if’ twist to Euro 2016 final

History may remember Euro 2016 as the tournament of Ronaldo and Portugal, but a new video has emerged which completely changes the narrative of the final.

An extra-time winner from former Swansea striker Eder was all it took for the unfancied Portuguese side to trump hosts France in the Euro 2016 final.

However, new footage of Eder’s winning goal has emerged which adds a major twist to the proceedings in Paris on that historic night. The video shows France keeper Hugo Lloris injuring himself while saving a free-kick moments before the decisive goal. Lloris can be seen hobbling and visibly distressed in the build-up to Eder’s goal.
