Liverpool FC defender Mamadou Sakho sent home from United States tour; fans back Klopp’s decision [Tweets]

Mamadou Sakho has reportedly been sent home from Liverpool’s tour of America as manager Jurgen Klopp has concerns over his attitude.

 

According to Allan Valente of Sky Sports, Sakho was not expected to take part in any of the Reds’ matches in the United States due to a persisting Achilles problem. However, the club included the Frenchman along with other injured players to travel with the squad.

It is understood that Sakho’s attitude has come under tremendous scrutiny from manager Jurgen Klopp, who has opted to send the 24-year-old back to England. The player had previously angered Klopp by turning up late for the club’s flight to the United States.
