Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera plays down Paul Scholes comparisons [Video]

Manchester United playmaker Ander Herrera says that he is proud to be compared to club legend Paul Scholes, but believes that he is not yet at the level of the Old Trafford great.

Ander Herrera has often been compared to United legend Paul Scholes since both of them play in a similar position on the pitch and are alike in their football skills too. Back in his day, Scholes used to run rings around the opposition midfielders and would fight for every loose ball. Herrera too, has been performing a similar role at Old Trafford hoping to follow in the footsteps of the legendary Englishman.

When asked about his opinion on being compared to Scholes, a humble Hererra said that he is proud to be recognized as the Englishman’s successor. He also added that he has to improve a lot before reaching Scholes’ level of play.
