Liverpool youngster Jordan Ibe is reportedly on the verge of securing a £15 million switch the Bournemouth.
In a surprising turn of events, the 20-year-old Liverpool winger is linked with a £15 million move to the Vitality Stadium to join forces with Eddie Howe at AFC Bournemouth. Given his young age and lack of experience at the top level, a price that steep may attract some doubters.
Here’s how the footballing world showed their disdain on Twitter:
Jordon Ibe is a rather frustrating player. Has speed and directness but his decision-making is not good. £15m is… ? #lfc #afcb

Jordon Ibe would have struggled to get on the bench next season. I think £7.5m would have been fair, to be offered £15m is unbelievable.

Not sure about #LFC letting Jordon Ibe go. Regressed last season but still only 20. Thought he was worth persevering with for another year.

Even with an uneventful Euro 2016, £50M for John Stones isn’t out of place in current climate of £30M for Troy Deeney & £15M for Jordon Ibe

£15m for Jordon Ibe? Seems a lot of money for someone that hasn’t really done anything yet…

£38m Ighalo, £35m Deeney, £32m Mane & £15m Ibe. I’d say Pogba £100m doesn’t look that outrageous by comparison. It’s a new £ era everywhere.

I’m a bit hmm about selling Ibe. Might not be a world beater but there’s a lot worse in our squad

Lukaku is not worth more than 35m imo. But I understand why Everton are asking for more. Ibe goes for 15m ffs.

While some wished him good luck and hoped that he would blossom into a promising player for the Cherries:
Bit gutted about @IbeJordon leaving as think he will turn in to a quality player. Just hope we have a buy back option on him.

Good luck Martin Skrtel and Jordon Ibe, Thanks For Everything! #YNWA ?

Must admit I would be really sad if @IbeJordon did leave @LFC – I think there is a lot more to come from him #LFC

All the best to @IbeJordon at Bournemouth. A very talented player with a bright future. I think Eddie Howe will get the best out of him.
