Legendary Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson recently caught up with the pundits at BT Sport, which included two of his former charges in Paul Scholes and Rio Ferdinand and one Arsenal striker who learned why Ferguson never signed him in a light-hearted moment before the FA Cup Final.

Ian Wright is the all-time second highest goalscorer for Arsenal, but Manchester United had a chance to witness his prowess even before he became a Gunner when he featured for Crystal Palace in the FA Cup final against them in 1990.

26 years later, as the two clubs prepared to face off in the final again, Wright jokingly suggested to the legendary Manchester United manager that he should have signed him. Sir Alex replied saying that he was too f****** costly, adding that he preferred cheap buys like Ferdinand — who cost the Red Devils £29 million in a record-breaking transfer.
