[Video] Rooney scores 100th Premier League goal at Old Trafford in 3-1 win over Bournemouth

Wayne Rooney may have broken the goal scoring shackles

Manchester United beat Bournemouth 3-1 at home in the final match of the Premier League season to secure a spot in the UEFA Europa League group stage for next season.

Wayne Rooney started off by scoring his 100th Premier League goal at Old Trafford. He is only the second player to score 100 goals for a club in one stadium, along with Thierry Henry at Highbury.

United were harshly denied a penalty after some superb build up play eventually led to Mata being fouled in the 6 yard box.

Rashford capped off a fine debut season with a hard, clinical strike to send the Red Devils 2 goals up. He couldn’t have justified his selection for England in a better way.

The United fans who attended got to see a rare Ashley Young goal.

David De Gea was in contention for the Golden Glove award, if the score had stayed at 3-0. However, it wasn’t to be as a Chris Smalling own goal sealed the award for Arsenal’s Petr Cech.
