Ashley William has been very impressive for Swansea City during his time there, and Brendan Rodgers has revealed that he had planned to bring him to Anfield to join Welsh compatriot Joe Allen during the first year of his time there. Unfortunately, the central defender at the time was Jamie Carragher and he would probably not have liked being replaced.
