After Real Madrid sacked manager Rafael Benitez, they appointed club legend Zinedine Zidane as the new man to lead the Los Blancos to glory.
The Frenchman has obviously been a part of some of the greatest squads in the history of football (Juventus, France, and Real Madrid), but has not had much experience as a manager in the top tier of football.
However, with the season already half gone, and with the Frenchman’s familiarity with the Real Madrid setup, the board saw him as the best man to take up the reins at the Santiago Bernabeu. Here are a few congratulatory tweets for Zizou.

Twitter soon bundled over with humorous and sarcastic tweets, memes and gifs that pointed out at the fickleness of Real Madrid president Florentino Perez, when it comes to hiring and firing managers.

Not all Los Blancos fans were convinced with the signing of Zidane though, as some rightly pointed out that he has not done anything extraordinary at Real Madrid B.
To me… Appointing Zidane at this time is a gamble… He’s even far frm bin successful at the team B he was coaching ai??i?? abimbola (@Iam_Harbimbolar) January 4, 2016
