[Video] Rio Ferdinand Believes Martial’s Style Resembles An Ex-Arsenal FC Striker But Not Henry

Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand was present at the launch of FIFA 16 and was seen having a candid discussion over various footballing and FIFA topics.

Manchester United’s record teenage signing Anthony Martial has taken the Premier League by storm, scoring four goals in four appearances in all competitions. Ferdinand, who himself was the world’s costliest defender at a time discusses the teenage prodigy.

Martial has earned rave reviews from fans and pundits and many have likened his style of play to that of former Arsenal FC legend Thierry Henry, however, Ferdinand does not believe that. The 36-year-old defender compared Martial to another former Arsenal FC striker, Nicolas Anelka.

Ferdinand even went on to say that during Anelka’s time with the Gunners, he was one of the three best players that the defender had ever come up against.

No FIFA launch event would be complete without a discussion about the best and worst players of the game. Ferdinand picked out Joleon Lescott to be the best FIFA player he had ever faced. He was also asked to name the worst player at Manchester United and Ferdinand labelled Darren Fletcher as the one.
