[Video] Inter Milan Keeper Samir Handanovic Makes Amazing Quadruple Save In 1-0 Win over AS Roma

Experts often say that making a great save can be as good as scoring a goal when it comes to the end result. Well, if that’s the case, then Inter Milan goalkeeper Samir Handanovic certainly did four times better than just scoring a goal at the San Siro on Saturday.

While Inter Milan won the crucial match 1-0 against AS Roma with a Gary Medel goal, Handanovic also drew a lot of praise from fans as he saved four shots in the same stretch of play. This allowed Inter to get all three points at home, and move joint-top of the Serie A table with Fiorentina. The latter however, are ahead on goal difference.

After making a save from a low long-range effort by Alessandro Florenzi, the Slovenian custodian had to get up quickly and parry away Mohammed Salah’s strike on goal. The second save struck one of the defenders, and was tamely looping towards the goal, as Handanovic was down on the floor.

.

However, he reacted well to push that away too. That was not the end of it however, as the ball fell towards Salah tried to head it past Handanovic. But the Inter Milan shot-stopper gratefully collected the ball and thwarted a potential quadruple goal chance.
