The Liverpool FC legend was a pundit on BT Sport’s coverage of the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday, and heaped praise on Arsenal FC manager ArsA?ne Wenger as well as midfielder Aaron Ramsey.
Arsenal FC pulled off the great escape on Wednesday, beating Olympiakos 3-0 away from home in the final group stage match of the UEFA Champions League to go through to the knock-out stages of the competition as group runners-up behind Bayern Munich.
Although Frenchman Olivier Giroud deservedly took the plaudits for his hat-trick, Steven Gerrard reserved praise for the Arsenal FC manager as well as midfielder Aaron Ramsey, who he claims has the potential to be the best attacking midfielder in the country.
The former Liverpool midfielder opined that he prefers seeing Ramsey in a central midfield role rather than out wide, something that many Arsenal FC fans have been calling our for.

Gerrard also claimed Wenger deserves a lot of credit for the way his team played on the night, right from kick-off.
