Borussia Dortmund midfielder Shinji Kagawa scored a screamer in the 6-0 demolition of Afghanistan by Japan in the World Cup qualifiers.

Kagawa and new Leicester City recruit Shinji Okazaki both scored a brace while Keisuke Honda and Masato Morishige also got on the score-sheet.

The former Manchester United forward opened the scoring in the 10th minute. Kagawa raced away from his marker before unleashing a fierce drive from around 25-yards-out which found the bottom corner of Afghanistan’s net.

Kagawa added a second to his tally in the second half.
