Manchester United defender Luke Shaw suffered from a broken leg in the Champions League tie against PSV Eindhoven. Van Gaal was furious in the post-match interview that Hector Moreno, the defender whose wild tackle caused Shaw the injury, got away without being red-carded.
Van Gaal confirmed that Shaw had suffered a double fracture of the right leg after being on the end of a wild tackle by PSV defender Hector Moreno.
The defender was bursting in the box in the 15th minute of the game when Moreno caught him. Moreno did win the ball but his momentum caught Shaw.
Van Gaal was furious that United did not get a penalty for the wild tackle and also Moreno escaped without being red-carded.
