As Liverpool FC’s A?260m stadium expansion takes shape, the incredible video obtained by Liverpool Echo showcases how the Anfield skyline has changed over the last 12 months.
Liverpool FC’s expansion of Anfield was finally given the go-ahead in December 2014 after a long drawn out process that saw the demolition of entire streets behind the Main Stand.
Once the redevelopmet of Main Stand is complete, it will take the overall capacity of Anfield to around 54,000.
The work has been in full swing now and is expected to be completed by the end of this season, following which, the other part of the ground will go under expansion to take the capacity of Anfield to approximately 60,000.
