Jones managed to take the corner kick and also picked out an unmarked Yohance Marshall, with pin point accuracy, which the defender met with a strong header, guiding the ball into the top corner from close range, to bring the scores level at 4-4, with the last kick of the match.

In one of the most thrilling matches of the ongoing Gold Cup, Mexico drew 4-4 with Trinidad and Tobago, as both teams qualified for the quarter-finals of the tournament. It was the first time, Mexico had conceded four goals in a Gold Cup match, while it was also the highest scoring match in the tournament’s history. Trinidad and Tobago by virtue of their first placed finish, will play Panama on Sunday, while group runners-up Mexico, will face Group-B’s second placed team in Costa Rica on Sunday.

In a frantic second half, Trinidad found themselves two goals behind early in the half and responded in some style to lead, 3-2 with just 67 minutes on the clock. However, Mexico regained their advantage, scoring two goals in two minutes, to make the score 4-3, as the game headed into three minutes of injury time. However, Mexico were undone with the last kick of the ball, as Marshall had the last laugh, bundling in from close range, to send the fans into delirium.
