Speaking at the official presentation of Manchester Uniteda s new signing Memphis Depay, Louis Van Gaal took the opportunity to praise Real Madrid bound David De Geaa s professional attitude while confirming the arrival of Matteo Darmian from Torino. The Dutchman also spoke about Robin Van Persiea s future at the club while confirming that Manchester United were not done with its a businessa this transfer season.
Goal-keeper David De Gea has been linked with a high-profile move to Real Madrid . this summer in a deal that involves the future of Sergio Ramos and Iker Casillas. However despite the on-going negotiations, the Spaniard has turned up for his pre-season with Manchester United, unlike Raheem Sterling who is reportedly throwing a tantrum at Liverpool.
“He (David De Gea)’s a very professional player and he has shown a fantastic attitude until now.a
“That goes for all players, not just De Gea. It is also good that Memphis does that, not just these kinds of players. I have to say I cannot complain about the professional attitude of our players.”
Van Gaal also confirmed the arrival of Matteo Darmian who is reportedly undergoing a medical with the club. Manchester United were in desperate need of a right-back as Van Gaal deployed Antonio Valencia as a make-shift defender in that role last season. Not satisfied with Rafaela s performance, it seems that the Brazilian is likely to head for the door this summer.

Robin van Persie has also been linked with a move away from Old Trafford with reports suggesting that the Dutchman was due to sign a contract with Fenerbahce in order to get more playing time. However Van Gaal refused to confirm the strikera s departure, hence indicating that the Dutchman could indeed be gifted with a fresh lease of life at Manchester United.
“When we feel he is gone, you will hear from Manchester United. We don’t have that feeling yet.”
Though Manchester United have been linked with a move for Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur, Van Gaal will be keen to avoid selling all his strikers in a single transfer window. United refused to extend Radamel Falcaoa s stay at Old Trafford and are expected to listen to offers for Chicharito this summer. This means that Van Gaala s options for a striker are limited to Van Persie and Wayne Rooney, who was rarely used to lead the teama s attack last season.
However the Dutch manager indicated that Manchester United are in the market for new players, hence promising the arrival of more new faces at Old Trafford this summer.
