It was a night of utter humiliation, as FC Barcelona downed Real Madrid CF 4-0 at the Los Blancos’ own home ground, the Santiago Bernabeu.
FC Barcelona broke the deadlock as early as the 11th minute with Luis Suarez smashing a Sergi Roberto through pass into the Real Madrid CF goal. There was no looking back from that, as Barca simply picked off every mistake by the home side.
Even when the Catalans were comfortably leading 3-0, their coach Luis Enrique seemed to be wanting to increase the margin of victory, as he threw talisman Lionel Messi, who was out with a hamstring injury for a while and was making his comeback in this match, into the mix.
3-0 to Bar a and on comes Messi. Give up Real Madrid, give up!

The sight of the Argentinian coming on must have felt terrifying for Real Madrid CF. It was absolute carnage out there, and in a message that might seem a little insensitive, keeping in mind the Paris attacks last week, one fan tweeted this.

There were many other tweets that might not seem as insensitive as that. Here are some of the best.

At the end however, Spanish football pundit Guillem Balague summed up Barca’s dominance and Real’s failure perfectly in just two tweets.
