Liverpool FC scraped past lowly Carlisle United in a penalty shoot-out, much to the dismay of their fans. Having had enough of the poor showings, Reds fans took to twitter to vent their anger.
Liverpool may have won the game at Anfield after League Two side Carlisle took them to the penalty shoot-out, but the Reds fans lost more faith in manager Brendan Rodgers due to yet another poor peformance.
To put it in context, Liverpool FC were up against a side that have conceded the most goals in League Two and the Reds managed to score just a solitary goal in 120 minutes of football. While they had an incredible 47 shots, they were restricted to just hopeful pops with only 4 of them hitting the target.
Liverpool FC fans were not please as boos rang out of Anfield, with fans taking to twitter to express their anger:
One goal in 120 minutes of football at home to the team who have conceded the most goals in League Two.

Struggling to think of the last time I was so underwhelmed by a victory. Have nothing good to say, so thata s me over and out. a Paul Tomkins (@paul_tomkins) . September 23, 2015
Other than Danny Ings, this @LFC team is devoid of anyone who wants to grab the game by the scruff of the neck. Horribly anaemic.

Relieved we won but this is a sad moment for the club Boos ringing round Anfield We look rudderless It’s a real low point for the club a Jeff Goulding (@ShanklysBoys1) September 23, 2015
Well we got through, so that’s good. Question is will Rodgers cling to his job long enough to face Bournemouth?
a Michael Sweeting (@M_Sweeting) September 23, 2015
Celebrating that? They should hang their heads in shame. Rodgers should be sacked tonight. Embarrassing.

Feel pity for him. I really do. He’s just not getting this. Trying his best and all, but… yeah. He’s just not the guy. Slow death, man.

Yes this is a terrible result Yes Brendan is having a poor run but how is it his fault that the players can only convert one of 40+ chances

People accuse #LFC fans of living in the past but I remember those heady days when we scored twice in the same game.
