Liverpool FC legend Steven Gerrard was unveiled to the LA Galaxy supporters on Sunday during half time of their game against Toronto FC.
Gerrard, 35, is expected to take the field with his new teammates on July 7 for his first official training with the Galaxy.
Steven Gerrard has spent his entire career at Anfield until now, but, announced last January that he would be leaving for the MLS club once his contract with Liverpool FC expired.
Gerrard follows in the footsteps of former England midfielder and Manchester United star David Beckham to move to Los Angeles after netting 120 goals in 504 matches with Liverpool FC and 21 more in 114 caps for England.
Gerrard was introduced to a sold-out, 27,000-capacity StubHub Centre by club president Chris Klein, with the 35-year-old addressing his new supporters.
The midfielder is eligible to make his competitive appearance on July 18, against San Jose Earthquakes.
He told the crowd: “It feels great to be here. I’m excited. I can’t wait to get my boots on and play in front of you guys. It has been fantastic. The people of LA have made me feel so welcome, both myself and my family and I’m really excited.”

The former Liverpool FC captain, who will wear the no.8 shirt he has now made iconic at the Merseyside giants, admitted he had spoken to both David Beckham and Robbie Keane about adapting to life at Stateside.

Gerrard will hold his first official press conference as an LA Galaxy player on July 7.
