The recent announcement that Gary Neville would be managing Valencia CF till the end of the season saw the football world react in shock and glee and Neville’s own guru Sir Alex Ferguson has had his say in the matter.

Gary Neville was one of the famed members of the class of 92, alongside the likes of David Beckham, Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes, who were brought into the first team from United’s youth academy by Sir Alex Ferguson and his former mentor has given his opinion on the news that Neville has been appointed manager of Valencia CF.
Ferguson said of Gary: “His leadership skills are strong, he’s honest and he’s hard working.” [via: BBC Sports]
“He is the type of character who is not afraid of making big decisions, which is a vital skill when leading. I think he’ll do well and I wish him, and his brother Phil, good luck.”
Phil Neville incidentally is an assistant coach at Valencia.
