Suspended FIFA President Sepp Blatter has said that Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid will face sanctions similar to FC Barcelona if found guilty of flouting transfer rules.

FC Barcelona were found guilty of breaching the rules of world football governing body FIFA and were banned from registering any player for two transfer window.
As per reports earlier this year, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid were also set to face one-year transfer bans for an offense similar to FC Barcelona.
Blatter expects Real, Atletico to have same fate as Barca if found guilty
Speaking to the Catalan newspaper El Mundo Deportivo, Blatter said that the two Madrid outfit will be treated the same as Barca was, if found guilty of any breach.
“These are closed investigations, and I can’t even set foot inside FIFA, but if Barca faced sanctions for breaking FIFA rules and the two Madrid clubs committed identical infractions, then it’s normal practice that they would face similar sanctions,” he said, according to Spanish paper AS.
“Maybe Barcelona made a mistake starting this war against FIFA. It would have been better to open a dialogue, a path that always works better in football.”
FC Barcelona have criticized FIFA transfer regulations, with the President Josep Maria Bartomeu even urging FIFA to not punish Real Madrid, instead change their transfer rules back in January.
The Catalans had removed more than a dozen players from their famed La Masia academy, in order to comply with the regulations of FIFA.
Real have reportedly partnered with Saxona, a private organization, who will bring 25 Chinese boys under the age of 14 to live and develop as footballers in Spain.
