Real Madrid Prioritize David De Gea Signing And Line Up Petr Cech As Alternative

Real Madrid have reportedly made Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea their top transfer target this summer, but will go for Blues shot stopper Petr Cech if a move falls through.

Real have drawn up a plan of action for a generational change between the posts at the Bernab u. At the cluba s offices they are already working on bringing De Gea ,the man who is the first-choice goalkeeper at Manchester United and is also the future of the Spanish national team to Real.

The 24-year-old, according to Spanish paper AS, is Real’s top transfer target this summer. The report suggests De Gea, who is out of contract in 2016, is viewed as a natural long-term successor to Iker Casillas.

However United it is thought will want much more than the a 22.7 million they spent to bring De Gea to Old Trafford from Atletico Madrid and if reports in the British media are to believed , United have priced him up at a 68 million.

De Gea whose current contract at Manchester United expires in 2016 has yet to resolve his Old Trafford future, while Real have been credited with a strong interest.

De Gea, is very much pleased by Real Madrida s interest and wants to return to his country, But according to AS , he is not convinced by the option of signing for them this summer because Casillasa future has not yet been resolved and he doesn’t want to compete with the Spanish captain for one season having already played 168 matches in Manchester. However, his future at Old Trafford also, depends on whether his team qualifies for next seasona s Champions League.

Even if Madrid fail to land De Gea this summer ,Madrid would be willing to wait until the 2016-17 season when they can land the Keeper on a free transfer.According to the English media, one of the conditions De Gea has set for his contract renewal is the inclusion of a a 30m buyout clause.

It is also believed that should Real fail to sign De Gea, they will turn their attentions to Cech instead ,as a goalkeeper of transition to cover the possible absence of Casillas, who still has not confirmed what he will do. .Cech whose current Chelsea contract expires in 2016 has attracted interest from Arsenal and Liverpool and Chelsea are asking A?10m for him.

Cech has fallen behind the pecking order at Chelsea behind Thibaut Courtois and wants to leave at all costs.
