Liverpool FC playmaker Philippe Coutinho has asserted his confidence that the Reds can go on to win the first trophy of his three year tenure at the Merseyside outfit under new manager Jurgen Klopp.
Coutinho has been one of the shining lights in what has been three years since the Reds’ last trophy in the form of League Cup in 2012 under Kenny Dalglish.
While the Reds came close to ending this trophy drought in stunning fashion with the close run-in to the title in 2012-13 season, it has so far eluded them.

Can Liverpool FC end trophy drought?
There is no doubt that the Reds have a good enough squad to be competing for cup glory this season. And while it may not be the most prestigious of competitions, the League Cup represents a fine chance for the Liverpool FC young guns to win something and build on from it for next season.
They play the double legged semifinal of the League Cup in January, and will be hoping to make it to the finals in March.
