In spite of all the media reports surrounding him, Juventus star Paul Pogba has not signed any deals with FC Barcelona, to move to Spain, in the summer of 2015.
The 22-year-old has excelled in his midfield role at Juventus, ever since his move from 20-time Premier League champions Manchester United, putting in exceptional performances, winning the Scudetto three times in a row with the club.
His career so far, climaxed at the Olympiastadion, in Berlin, where Juventus faced-off against FC Barcelona, in the final of the UEFA Champions League. Although the Biancanori lost the match 3-1, it was considered as a monumnetal performance by the Italian champions.
However, the Frenchman has been struggling for form, in the first couple of months of the 2015/16 season, and that seems to have propelled a lot of rumours in the Italian media.
Althlough the initial reports said that there was no deal between the Bianconeri and the Blaugrana, it was believed that Juventus had a part-agreement with the Spanish club, to conduct the transfer in the summer transfer window, of 2016.
However, Pogbaa s agent Mino Raiola has said, while speaking to Radio Deejay . , that no such agreement has been struck between the two clubs.
a Is there a deal for a future sale to Barcelona? Absolutely not, said Raiola. a Anyone who wants him has to sit down with Juve and ten we will see.a
Nonetheless, 47-year-old agent, who also represents stars like Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Mario Balotelli, confirmed that Pogba did have a lot of offers to choose from, in the summer transfer window. However, the Frenchman decided to stay.
a Pogba remained at Juve because he made the choice with his heart when he had big important offers and now fans forget that,a said Raiola.
The French midfielder put in a good performance at his teama s 2-0 win over Atalanta, this weekend, and this seems to have boosted the confidence in him, which was diminishing this season. Juventus are eight points off the top in Serie A currently, and will need more wins, to win the Scudetto five times in a row. Pogba would certainly be an important cog in their machinery, if they are to have any hopes of making a comeback of that magnitude.
