Christian Benteke has completed his move to Liverpool FC from Aston Villa for a fee of A?32.5m with A?16m paid upfront and rest in add ons and the Reds’ fans reaction could be best described as a mixed one.
Liverpool FC had finally conceded to the demands of Aston Villa and agreed to meet Christian Bentekea s release clause to finally land the striker last week, and now, the player has passed his medical to complete the move to Merseyside.
There is a worry among the Liverpool fans that the player may not fit the philosophy of new manager despite Brendan Rodgers himself stating that Benteke was his primary transfer target.
The reaction on twitter was, as expected, a mixed one with Benteke becoming the second most expensive player in Liverpool FC history after Andy Carroll.

64.4% of Christian Benteke’s goals for Aston Villa were from free kicks, penalties or headers. Not very promising. #LFC a Anfield Chat (@TheAnfieldChat) July 17, 2015

#LFC only paying A?16 million up front for Benteke, isn’t a horrific deal, all things considered. Means more in the coffers for someone new. a Liverpool FC 360 (@LFC_360) July 19, 2015
Benteke, Sturridge , Firmino , Coutinho – we have our attack back. Who hands down beats that in our league ?
