Free scoring German forward Thomas Muller has stated that Bayern Munich remain focused on winning trophies and not on their manager’s future.

Pep Guardiola has been stealing the headlines recently with the whole footballing world curious about his future plans. He is being linked to every major club in Europe and is believed to be heading out of the Allianz Arena in the summer. This speculation hasn’t caused any great harm to Bayern Munich though, as they have managed to continue their winning ways.

Thomas Muller recently spoke out about what the team thought of the speculations surrounding their manager and he said that the team remains unaffected.

“We don’t care about that,” he told Sky when asked to comment on what the team thought of Pep Guardiola’s reported departure from the club. [via: goal.com] “We want to win everything this season, no matter how long it takes with the coach’s contract.

“I do not know whether he will renew in the end, but if he doesn’t then it does not matter. Jupp Heynckes also did this in 2012-13 and we won the treble that year.”

The Bayern army marches on

Bayern Munich are currently sitting comfortably at the top of the Bundesliga table after a win against Hannover, 8 points clear of closest competitor Borussia Dortmund, who lost to FC Koln this weekend. Third places Hertha BSC are 9 points adrift of Dortmund and a massive 17 points behind the Bavarians.

Regardless of whatever decision Pep Guardiola takes, it will be extremely difficult to counter the dominance of Bayern Munich in Germany, which seems even more overpowering with every season.
