Real Madrid legend Ronaldo believes that Lionel Messi is a a more completea player than his rival Cristiano Ronaldo. Weighing in on the Ballon da Or debate, the former Real Madrid and Barcelona striker believes that the Argentine international has a a spectaculara touch to his game as compared to the Real Madrid No. 7.
Nominated alongside Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar, Lionel Messi is the favourite to win his fifth Ballon da Or this January after Barcelona completed a treble under Luis Enriquea s guidance.

As reported by Goal, Ronaldo claimed that Messi was a more complete player in comparison to his Portuguese counterpart. The Brazilian legend, who was himself the winner of the Ballon d’Or twice — with Inter Milan and Real Madrid — was speaking to Argentine newspaper Clar n.
“I choose Messi.
“I see Messi more complete. He does things in a most spectacular way.”

While Cristiano Ronaldo scored more goals than Lionel Messi in 2015, it was the Argentine international who won more trophies at the end of the year. Though Lionel Messi trails Ronaldoa s tally (55 goals for club and country) by 4 goals, he was instrumental in leading Barcelona to their treble along with guiding Argentina to the Copa America 2015 finals.
Taking these factors into consideration, Lionel Messi is the frontrunner in the race for the Ballon Da Or trophy. However, it will be interesting to see if the Argentine can continue his terrific run with Barcelona in 2016. On the other hand, Real Madrid seem to be struggling as fans call for Rafael Beniteza s head following a string of disappointing results.
