Manchester United’s Matteo Darmian Bid Too Low For Torino

Manchester United have shown interest in Torino’s full back Matteo Darmian, but reports suggest their bid for the player is deemed to be too low.

According to reliable Italian journalist, DiMarzio, Manchester United have made an initial bid of a 15 Million to sign the Italian right back.

The 25 year-old enjoyed a fantastic season for Torino and was arguably the best full-back in Serie A last season. It wasn’t surprising that he was linked with a move to AS Roma, Bayern Munich and now Manchester United.

Manchester United’s offer of a 15m (A?10.7m) for Matteo Darmian, is considered too low by Torino, who want at least a 20m for the player, claim Football Italia.

Granata President Urbano Cairo has made it very clear he will not part with Darmian for less than a 20m (A?14.2m), adds the report.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Manchester United are interested in the player but are nowhere close to “reaching a deal” for the player.

Darmian has been playing for Serie A side Torino . since 2011 and has made over 130 appearances for the side in the process. He can play centrally as well, having started his career as a centre back. He can also play up-front in the midfield, but his preferred position is that of a full-back. He began his career at A.C. Milan, making his Serie A debut at age 17, but didn’t have a future with the fallen giants and only managed to make 4 appearances for the side.
