Manchester United To Increase Revenue With New Footwear Deal

Manchester United have been expanding their revenue horizon by leaps and bounds over the years, and in a recent deal, the 20-time Premier League champions have added another to their long list of business partners — an Italian luxury footwear brand named HEROES SRL.

HEROES will no longer be manufacturing the football shows for Manchester United, instead they’ll be sponsoring the club’s formal footwear.

“Football is all about teamwork and to play like a team ita s important to look like a team,” said Manchester United Group Managing Director Richard Arnold to manutd.com. “Our partnership with HEROES will not only provide our first-team squad with well-designed and well-made formal shoes, it will also allow our loyal fan base to be included in that team spirit by wearing the same brand worn by our players.”

Our partnership with Manchester United is a dream come true and we are thrilled to be working with the world-renowned sports club. This is the first partnership of its kind for HEROES and we are confident that Manchester Uniteda s enthusiastic fans will be the ideal audience for the launch of our HEROES brand. Alfredo Da Acchioli, Chairman of the supervisory board of Da Vinci Luxury AG, the company that owns the brand HEROES said, “Our partnership with Manchester United is a dream come true and we are thrilled to be working with the world-renowned sports club. This is the first partnership of its kind for HEROES and we are confident that Manchester Uniteda s enthusiastic fans will be the ideal audience for the launch of our HEROES brand. All Manchester United players to wear HEROES

.
It is understood that all members of the Manchester United first team squad have been mandated to wear HEROES footwear, when they are going to represent the club.

Of course, this does not entail the matches itself, as HEROES manufactures formal footwear. This means that the players are still free to wear the football boots of whatever brand they endorse.

Manchester United are one of the highest-earning clubs in the Premier League with their revenue for 2016 expected to be around the A?500 million mark. However, this new deal could raise the revenue of the club even higher.
