Manchester United Revive Their Interest In Roma Midfielder Miralem Pjanic

Manchester United have revived their interest in Roma midfielder Miralem Pjanic and they are confident of beating fierce rivals Liverpool in the chase of the player.

Manchester United changed the face of their squad in the summer of 2014 as they bought some world class like Angel di Maria, Ander Herrera, Luke Shaw, Marcos Rojo and Daley Blind. Thanks to this spending spree of 2014, the Red Devils are confident of qualifying for Champions League next season. And, their lucrative sponsorship deals have put in enough money in their pockets to spend big in the summer of 2015 as well.

Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal has big plans for the upcoming transfer window and he is looking for a world class central midfielder in the market.

Roma midfielder Miralem Pjanic, 25, has made a good name for himself in last couple of years and Manchester United are confident of beating Liverpool for signature of Bosnian international.

The contract of Miralem Pjanic at AS Roma runs until the end of 2018 and he is meeting the club officials next week to open the talks for extending the same. But it is believed that Miralem Pjanic is looking for a new adventure and both the Premier League clubs, Liverpool and Manchester United, are battling it out or his signature.

However, in spite of Liverpoola s ongoing interest in Miralem Pjanic, Manchester United are confident of getting their man as they can offer him a better deal, and more importantly, the Champions League football.

Miralem Pjanica s team-mate Kevin Strootman was earlier the number one target of Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal but the concerns over the fitness levels of the Dutch international still remain and the coach has now set his eyes on the Bosnian midfielder.

Meanwhile, reports coming from England and Italy have also confirmed the revived interest of Manchester United in the Roma midfielder.

The Mirror has claimed that Manchester United have revived their interest in Romaa s Miralem Pjanic. And that has put them on collision course with rivals Liverpool who want the Bosnian playmaker to replace outgoing skipper Steven Gerrard.
