Manchester United are looking to give their reserves, or rather the U-21 side a little taste of bigger things, as the club bosses are planning to build a miniature Old Trafford near the main stadium itself.
While it’s a replication of the original Theater of Dreams, the miniature Old Trafford is set to hold somewhere between 5,000-10,000 fans, as the Red Devils look to create better infrastructure for their youth sides.

According to Manchester Evening News, the top brass at Old Trafford (the real one) believe that Manchester United need to revamp their youth facilities, in order to have more of their academy players graduating into the first team squad.
According to reports from the local media, the new stadium would be build somewhere around the original Old Trafford, that holds more than 75,000 fans, on land that is owned by the club. The reports suggest that one of the current car-parks owned by Manchestrer United will be used for the stadium.
However, the obvious questions of where the fans would park their cars on match days does arise, out of this plan.
New stadium to help the U-21s
The most recent sensation to come out of the Manchester United U-21s and dazzle the Old Trafford faithful is none other than Jesse Lingard, who has been seen as somewhat of a silver lining in an otherwise gloomy season for the Red Devils.
The Manchester United U-21 and U-19 sides have been playing their matches across a number of venues in the vicinity, something that might have affected their performance.
A number of top European clubs have separate stadiums for their reserves or youth side, including Manchester United’s arch rivals Manchester City. Being one of the biggest clubs in the world, Manchester United certainly need to get the best facilities, even for their youth sides.
