Manchester United Eye Jan Oblak As De Gea Replacement; Contact Already Made

Manchester United are lining up replacements for David de Gea, who certainly looks on his way out. Latest to be lined up is Atletico Madrid’s Jan Oblak.

De Gea is expected to complete a move to Madrid this summer and there were suggestions the deal could be announced very soon. AS report that Real Madrid have already submitted their first offer to United which is believed to be around a 24m which was swiftly rejected. It is understandable that United, for whom De Gea was amazing last season, are holding out for more money. If United maintain their stance on the Spaniard claiming “he is not for sale”, de Gea could put in a transfer request, according to various reports.

. According to AS, United have already contacted Jan Oblak for a potential move and want to sign the Slovenian before releasing de Gea. Atletico paid Benfica a 16m for Oblak last summer and would want to make some profit on the talented goalkeeper.

AS even add that Real Madrid themselves held talks with Oblak last summer with the hope of adding him but the player chose city rivals Atletico after he learnt Casillas would be staying.

Inter Milana s Samir Handanovic and Tottenhama s Hugo Lloris have also been tipped as the two goalkeepers United is eyeing to replace de Gea.
