Manchester United Demand Real Madrid’s Unsettled Ramos For De Gea

Manchester United Looking to 'Unsettle' Sergio Ramos?

.

Manchester United are demanding Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos as makeweight for David de Gea.

Manchester United have looked poised to lose David de Gea since the tail-end of last season and all the reports are suggestive of the fact that the Spaniard could be on his way to the Bernabeu very soon.

With Ramos being extremely unsettled at the Madrid club at the moment, United are hoping to exploit the situation to their advantage and use the player to strengthen their defence.

Spanish media outlet reports that Ramos is looking to leave the club after being annoyed at the fact that the club didn’t clear anything up after Bar a presidential-candidate, Jordi MajA? shocking comments.

a A while ago we were offered him (Ramos), a month-and-a-half ago roughly,a said Majo. a I don’t know if anyone else was, but we are not going to play that game; we will not be a reason for him and his brother to increase their pay at Real Madrid.

a If another candidate has been offered him and accepted, thata s their problem, but we totally ruled it out.

a We have not had contact with Rene (Ramosa agent). We believe ita s a case of mutual interest, between them and another candidate (to be Bar a president). It is what it is.a

The Spaniard, who earns about a 5 million a year is currently unsettled at the club and could be moving away this summer as he reportedly feels that he should be earning closer to the a 10 million earned by non-Spanish a galacticosa such as Gareth Bale.

AS report: The defender feels that he is undervalued and has his mind firmly made up. For this reason, he is prepared to move to another club with no salary increase expectations, (hea s currently on a 6 million euro net per year). Money is not the playera s motivation and as yet there have been no offers but now the Sevilla born defender will now listen to bids from those cluba s looking to bolster their central defense, such as Manchester United, Manchester City or PSG.

The Guardian now report that Manchester United have responded to Real Madrida s bid for David de Gea by telling them they want to sign Sergio Ramos.

Ramos has spent 10 years at the Madrid club and has played more than 400 games for Madrid. He is also the vice-captain of the club but negotiations over a new contract have been stalling for quite a while now, which has encouraged Manchester United that they have a chance in landing one of the star defenders in Europe.

Ramos still has two years left on his contract, so Madrid won’t be pressured into selling the player, but their demand of David de Gea makes it favorable for Manchester United and if the player does want to leave the club – and this is not merely a way for him to get Real to increase his pay – the Premier League side stands a solid chance.
