Liverpool are considering a move for Real Madrid winger Lucas Vazquez, who is currently on loan at Catalan side Espanyol, reports Marca.
Reports in Spanish newspaper Marca claim that Brendan Rodgers is keen on the 23-year-old, who is currently playing at Espanyol in La Liga.
Vazquez is yet to make a senior appearance for Los Blancos in any competition, despite graduating from their academy.
But the Reds are said to be looking to sign Vazquez on a bargain move, with him only costing in the region of a 3million. It is being reported that the Merseysiders and are hoping to negotiate with Espanyol, rather than Real Madrid and the Catalan side is considering buying the player permanently and immediately cashing in on him, if Liverpool’s bid is good enough to lure them.
Marca also state that Real Madrid don’t want to let the player leave easily and Carlo Ancelotti has also made public his desire to have the player at his disposal next season.
Lucas has scored two goals in La Liga this season, and has also provided four assists in his 21 appearances for Espanyol. None of his teammates have created more chances than him (32) and with time on his side, he could go on to become a big talent both.
