If all goes well, Liverpool FC will hire Jurgen Klopp as their new manager, as per reports in the Liverpool Echo, with Carlo Ancelotti second favorite. We look at who will he be the right man for the job.
Liverpool FC sacked manager Brendan Rodgers last night, following a poor start to the new season. The 1-1 draw at Everton was not the result that got Rodgers the sack, as he was set to leave regardless of the results.

Liverpool Echo now report that the Reds will make an approach for German Jurgen Klopp, who took Borussia Dortmund to two German title and one UEFA Champions League final, playing some breath-taking football in the process.

Klopp had won 56.9% of his games at Borussia Dortmund, however, his final season saw him struggle with Dortmund spending a large amount of time in the bottom half of the table.
Klopp, however, fits the style of management deployed at Anfield, with the owners favoring a separation between the manager and sporting director, even though they reluctantly agreed to form a transfer committee involving the manager when Rodgers turned Liverpool down following FSG’s first approach to make him the manager in 2012.
Klopp’s agent Marc Koscike had been quoted saying by Sky Sports back in June that the German preferred a structure that tallows the German to concentrate solely on matters on the pitch with the transfer part being taken care of by a Sporting Director (or a Director of Football)
Koscike said: a In Germany there is a clear separation between manager and sporting director and I think in principle this is very good.

A change of manager had been coming, with fans utterly dismayed with Rodgers. However, what has baffled experts across the world is the decision-making of Fenway Sports Group, the owners of Liverpool FC, who decided to retain Rodgers when he should probably have been sacked in the summer, allowing him to spend 80m GBP, and firing him just 7 games in the league season.

Carlo Ancelotti is another name being heavily linked with the Anfield move. The former Juventus, Milan, Chelsea FC, PSG, Real Madrid manager boasts of an impressive CV when it comes to European and domestic cup competitions, however, has won just three league titles with these clubs between 1999 and 2015, despite having the opportunity to field some of the most star-studded XIs their respective leagues had seen. One of the league wins is with PSG. And without under-rating that achievement, PSG were the kings in a league in which no one could match their squad even if they put out a completely second-string side.
Ancelotti, however, will be able to attract a lot of good players at Anfield, something that Liverpool FC can do with, right now. His experience as a top player and manager will also come in handy.
However, it is more likely that Jurgen Klopp will be the next Liverpool FC manager, and if Fenway Sports Group continue their current trend of making so many poor decisions regarding the new player acquisition policy at Anfield, Liverpool FC will probably waste another manager.
The structure at Anfield has to be spot on for Klopp to flourish, or else, the signing could go badly wrong.
