A much changed Liverpool FC were held to a 1-1 draw at Anfield by Swiss minnows FC Sion in what is the latest low for the side under Brendan Rodgers. Disappointed with the listless performances, boos rang out at Anfield, and it was no different on twitter, where Liverpool fans slammed the team and the manager’s tactics.
Liverpool FC played a 5-2-2-1 formation, that was thought to be one of the major reason for the Reds’ poor showing. With three central defenders in the side and two holding midfielders in Allen and Rossiter, Liverpool did not have enough men to attack against a side that had come hoping for a draw at Anfield in the first place.
While Liverpool did take an early lead through Lallana’s goal, mistake by Clyne and Gomez allowed the Swiss side to draw level in the 18th minute.
Liverpool’s tactics and the lack of cohesion in the squad that has hardly played together meant that the Reds struggled to create any noteworthy chances.
Liverpool had recently played 120 minutes against lowly Carlisle at Anfield, still couldn’t beat them. This draw bought back those memories, despite the good showing at the weekend against Aston Villa.
The fans took to twitter and expressed their disappointment, slamming manager Brendan Rodgers’ tactics.
3 centre-backs, 2 holding midfielders, not enough men ahead of the ball when LFC gain possession. So slow.

Crafty plan that, playing uninspiring football against a poor side to lull Everton into thinking we’re crap. Ahem. #LFC
