Liverpool Face Competition From CSKA Moscow For Real Madrid Attacker

Liverpool FC have been linked with a move for Real Madrid’s Denis Cheryshev for a while now, according to various reports in Spain and England.

Cheryshev will return to Real Madrid on June 30 after completing a season-long loan spell with Villarreal. The player scored six goals and grabbed nine assists in an impressive season for Villarreal this season.

.

Cheryshev has been regarded as a potential replacement for Raheem Sterling. The left winger is a good offensive threat and likes to regularly cut inside and attack centrally, giving the opposition defenders a nightmare. He is quick, direct, two-footed and his strong dribbling and powerful shooting make him a big menace for the opposition. He is also versatile and can take players on with conviction. In fact, he impressed so greatly in Reala s pre-season that Carlo Ancelotti quickly endorsed a contract extension till 2017 for the player.

AS have reported that the appointment of Rafa Ben tez at Madrid will mean that every player who will return from loan will be assessed by the coach before a decision on his future is made.

Russian daily Izvestia report that CSKA Moscow officials have already made contact with the player and want to take him on loan for the next season as they are unsure whether they will be able to buy the player from Real Madrid.

The Russian came through the cluba s youth system and despite playing plenty of games for Real Madrid B, he has failed to break into the first team. He has spent the last two seasons on loan a at Sevilla and now Villarreal a and is naturally keen to move away to a club where he could get plenty of regular football.

It has also been stated that the Reds, who have spent several months watching the player, have spoken with the player’s agent and Cheryshev himself seems keen on a move to Anfield.
