Jose Mourinho Willing To Take 50% Pay Cut To Join Manchester United After Being Sacked By Chelsea FC?

Jose Mourinho is reportedly extremely keen to take on a managerial role at Manchester United, but reports from England suggest that the Portuguese manager would have to take a massive pay-cut if he wants to join the Red Devils.

Mourinho was sacked by Chelsea FC just seven months after he won the Premier League in style with the Blues, amidst rumours of discord and player-mutiny within the dressing room.

However, after being sacked by the club for a second time, Mourinho has reportedly set his sights on Manchester United. The Daily Star quotes an anonymous source as saying that managing Manchester United has always been a dream for the 52-year-old Portuguese.

While Mourinho was said to have been earning around the region of A?10 million at Chelsea FC, Van Gaal earns just A?6 million at Old Trafford. However, Mourinho is reportedly ready to take that pay cut, in order to join the club of his dreams.

While the Manchester United fans have been calling for their club to wield the axe on manager Louis van Gaal, the club has taken a much more cautious approach. One of the many reasons for this is that the club might have to pay him around A?9 million if they sack him right now.
