New Liverpool FC signing James Milner is enjoying life at Anfield following his free transfer from Manchester City earlier this summer. The English midfielder reckons his new club are good enough to finish in the top 4.
Milner has been a solid performer for Liverpool FC in their opening three games, which has seen the Merseyside outfit keep three clean sheets in a row.

One of the key reasons has been the relentless pressing and smart tactical play of Milner. Not only that, Milner has played a steady attacking role despite looking unspectacular.
Milner confident of a top 4 finish
Liverpool FC failed to qualify for the Champions League last season. Despite a strong start, they have not exactly set the league on fire so far. However, Milner is confident that his new club is just warming up to the league and feels that there is enough quality in the squad to finish in a Champions League slot.
Speaking of Liverpool’s top 4 chances, Milner was quoted saying by ESPN FC: “We will see at the end of the season, won’t we. I think we are close.”
“We don’t want to put any targets on it, but the longer we get into this season and the more we play together, you will see us improve more and more.
“I think it is an exciting time to be at the club. There have obviously been a lot of changes on and off the field in the summer and I think it will take time to get to our best, but to start the season like we have is pleasing.”
Milner delighted with the decision to sign for Liverpool FC
Having moved on from Manchester City earlier in the summer, Milner said that he would have not had enough playing time had he stayed put at the Etihad. He also went onto add that his decision to move to Liverpool has been a great one.
He said: “I have watched them on the TV, but I might have been watching them sitting on the bench if I had stayed at the club.
“That is the decision I have made. I am delighted to have joined Liverpool and am enjoying every minute. Liverpool is the club that is used to winning and every time they step onto the field they expect to win — that is a nice pressure to have.
“You want to play with the biggest clubs and best players. You want to be among good, experienced players and a blend of English talent and foreign players.
“Everything is there. You look down the squad list and on the bench and it is a strong balance. You need a good squad to do anything and we will definitely have that.”
